Gorc JV Defense was lights out against MoHo Co in the victory Gorc JV Defense was lights out against MoHo Co in the victory

The playoffs were awesome. But, Sunday November 17th, 2013 was all about Champions!!!!!  The benefit that we have this week is that we filled both of the games using the best videographer in the game, Mohamed Fahs.  We have not been able to film all of the games during the Fall like we normally do for the Spring Varsity seasons, but we had to pull out all of the stops for these games.

You can see this game in one of two ways!!!  The absolute best way is to get a DVD of this game in High Definition that you can enjoy forever, whenever and wherever you like to see it.  No gift will be more valuable than a copy of these games in HD.  You also have the benefit if seeing the SEN Televison Re-air of the live event, which is linked at the bottom of the page.

GAME #1: Gorc Wildcats 21 vs MoHo Co Lions 0 (JV)

The moment that we get copies of the film, we are going to provide for you blow by blow details of this game that will rock your world.  I expect to get the footage this evening some time and will pour over this game with a fine tooth comb.  For the teaser, just know this was one of the most hard fought games for 3.5 quarters as you have ever seen.  It looked like we were going to have an overtime game before the field position found MoHo Co backed up on their own one yard line and trying to punt with a little over 5 minutes to go in the game.

Both defenses were lights out for 3 full quarters and neither offense could score.  It was special teams that made the difference in this one when a the Lions punt was blocked into the back of the end zone causing a safety and putting 2 points on the board.  The Wildcats ran the free kick back for a TD and within and instant, the score was 8 - 0.  As the Lions desperately tried to mount a comeback, the Wildcats defense picked off 2 passes and ran them back for late TD's to make the score 21 - 0.  Details to come!!!

GAME #2: Westlake Bulldogs 44 vs MoHo Co Lions 12 (Varsity)

We can't wait to get to the film and the details on this one.  It was very exciting with 5 TD's being scored in the first quarter.  Westlake scored on their first play of the game with Rashard Jackson breaking off a 60 yard run behind some great line blocking and unbelievable down field blocking by Noah Taylor.  The second time Westlake got the ball, DeJuan Ellis rolled out looking for a receiver, and when he couldn't find one he pulled it down and ran like only he can run.  He want about 65 yards for the 2nd TD before the fans could get their pizza from the concession stand and it looked like it was going to be a rout.

But, the proudful Lions came roaring back!  QB Doc Bonner hit Cooper McGeehan on a TE pop pass and he rambled almost 70 yard for the score to drive the fans wild.  Jason Labbe for the Bulldogs then hit a 55 yard run down the 1 yard line and scored on the ensuing play.  On the kickoff, Zachary "Spanky" Dixon broke through the first line of defense and ran it all the way back for the TD, closing the score to 18 - 12 and we looked like we had a barn burner.  The halftime score was 25 - 12, but in the 2nd half the Bulldogs controlled the clock and game and put up 19 more points to close the show.

An extremely detailed summary will be on the way as soon as I get my hands on that video!!
