WEEK TWO, GAME THREE of The GYFL Fall League Action..
Junior Varsity Division

The Westlake Bulldogs and The Fatz Bullies Bulldogs had their "Battle of The Bulldogs" Game start us off from St. John's College High School in Uptown, Uptown.. Washington, DC

This game set the tone for what was to be a day filled with BIG PLAYS and GUTSY COACHING CALLS. As the first play from scrimmage had "The Cannon"
Antwain Littleton explode for a 73 yard run for a touchdown before you could warm your seat good in the stands. After a 3 and Out by The Bullies & a Punt. Littleton blasted out of the gates a second time for 38 yards on the ground showcasing the power to run inside, vision to pop to the exterior and speed to have the secondary concerned the rest of the game. Literally!.. The Bullies who were making there Fall Debut had their hands full as Westlakes Defense came at them with just as much force.

However as the game moved into the second half, #2 Tayon "Dueces" Lewis began to assert himself as a force to be acknowledged beside #1 Charles Creek who had his hands full just trying to check down who Westlake was sending on the blitz. As the penalties piled against The Bullies who's roster is bolstered with numerous first year players with talent to burn. It was the well experienced Westlake playing an emotion filled game as they welcomed back #2 Micheal "The Panther" Prather who also would score on the ground and pick up the point after attempt. As Westlake walked away bruised but not beaten.

The Final Score: 31 - 6, Westlake over The Bullies in a DOG FIGHT to say the least!

Prime Time Players:

#7 Antwain Littleton - Westlake
#2 Tayon Lewis - Fatz Bullies

I5 Elite 28

In WEEK TWO, GAME FOUR of The GYFL Fall League Action..

7th Grade Division Division

The MoHo County Lions faced off against The I5 Elite

This game took a WICKED TWIST as Mother Nature once again made herself a part of the adversity to be dealt with. As scattered showers variated from sprinkles to full blown buckets of rain showers. This would in turn make running routes and making sharp cuts virtually unthinkable to attempt. Yet for Football Fans you get to see those hits where the players involve collide and then slide another 4 to 5 yards! Wooooooo Baby!!

Both teams come into this contest after very strong showings in Week One. With both coaches, Jason Guglielmone for MoHo and Eric Allen had their team ready to go out and play disciplined football for 4 quarters. Yet, I dont think either one counted on the problems that the elements could bring to this one. As it was alot of bobbled snaps, miscued ball exchanges and the passing games were reduced to what Tony K would call, "Alot of Ham & Cheese" being served up. Translation.. dive left (run), pitch right (run), and sweeps (run)!

So with that being the case, i5 had numerous backs who could get it done behind their offensive line and #12 Austin Slye managing the game. Until #18 Joseph Babrowicz III or "JB3" showed he could do the same for MoHo County. So after some nice exchanges it became a field position battle that led to sound really great strategies being displayed. In between weather variations.. #8 Malcolm Terry for i5 had the greatest impact for The Elite rushing the football and #34 Andre "Master P" Porter led The Lions not only in tackles but HARD KNOCKS. I5 would win this battle but The Lions will live to roar another day.

The Final Score: 28 - 6, The Elite was just too much on the ground to handle

Prime Time Players:

#8 Malcolm Terry - I5 Elite
#34 Andre Porter - MoHo County
